Magnetic polarization, J (I)

Magnetic induction, in the unit tesla or gauss, can consist of two components:

1. one part caused by magnetised material
2. one part from an externally applied field.

Magnetic polarisation, also called intensity of magnetization - I or J - is the part caused by the magnetized material.
